               Catania

Cyclops

            

              The coastline of fertile lava land between Catania and Acireale is known as the Riviera of the Cyclops. A whole coast is the background Etna, the menacing giant that inspired the myth of the Cyclops and overlooking the expanses of citrus groves. Myth and literature are at one with the landscape and nature.

            

Mount  

            

              Located in     Sicily; Eastern, one step from the Strait of Messina, is the ’ Mount ,   the largest active volcano in Europe.

Giardini Naxos

Taormina

Castelmola

The small medieval town of Castelmola was perhaps the ’ ancient acropolis of Taormina. Aeolian Islands  

            

              The   Aeolian   islands are one of the 50 Italian sites included by UNESCO in the   World Heritage List   in its heritage section naturalistico.L'arcipelago of the Aeolian Islands in   Sicily   consists of seven beautiful islands -   Lipari, Panarea ,   Vulcano, Stromboli,   Salina, Alicudi and   Filicudi   - and some outcropping rocks and reefs by a clear blue sea.

Syracuse  

            

              The magnificent island of Ortigia is an essential destination for those visiting Syracuse and expresses the joy of living in this city, marked by a special relationship between his story and the marine environment. The visitor is spoiled for choice thanks to the many monuments that bear witness to the passage of many civilizations on earth. At the entrance of the Grand Harbour with the imposing Castello Maniace, built by Frederick II to show his strength and his power in Sicily, while moving in the heart of Ortigia we find one of the most important monuments of Syracuse Cathedral. Founded as a Doric temple in 480 BC to celebrate the victory against the Carthaginians, it was converted into a Christian church in the sixth century A.D. Its a careful observation allows to admire the traces of each historical period: from the columns of the temple, the Norman battlements, up to the baroque façade, thanks to the limestone coating, assumes the typical golden color at sunset. A stay in Syracuse can not leave out a visit to the famous Greek theater, from 1914 back to life thanks to the organization of performances and shows.

            

Noto

            

              Visit the Val di Noto is to discover an extraordinary chapter in human history. Piazza Armerina
